Hey y’all! Big news, I’m a teacher now, aren’t you so proud mom?? So for the first month we’ve been in Cambodia our whole squad has been living together in Siem Reap (all 45 of us) but for the second month, from Nov. 14th to Dec. 9th we are splitting up. Each team is going to a separate ministry location. Not only to cover more ground but also to be able to grow closer as a team. It can be hard to develop deep relationships in a squad of 45 so it will give us lots of time for the seven of us on my team to be intentional with getting to know each other. My team is going 2 hrs away to a town called Kampong Tom, witch is smaller than Siem Reap but not as rural as the villages we’ve been working in have been. In Kampong Tong we are partnering with a school to teach the kids English. We’ve also been working on several other projects around school, including paining murals on some of their walls, and helping them with assembly in the mornings. (It’s very similar to CCA assembly if you know what that’s like) we are mainly focusing on ministering to the teachers at the school. We are starting a house church on Sundays and sometime this week we will be doing a worship night for the teachers. We are all having such a wonderful spirit filled time here and I can’t wait to see how much more God will work here!
You definitely have what it takes to lead a school assembly! You have years of experience! I’m so proud of your dedication to do ministry wherever God puts you. Your creativity and joy are such a blessing to your team and to the school.
Can’t wait to hear more about your experience I know you are a blessing and receiving blessings in return! Love you!
